Samantha enjoys working with acrylic ink and watercolour, these mediums allow her work to be vibrant and colourful. Each of her products are handmade which means that every piece of her art is original and unique. She likes creating positive art in hopes that it can help someone and bring joy to their life.
“I don’t make art; I create with colour.” – Samantha
The Samantha Room was established in 2015 when Samantha was struggling with health challenges. As it was created it helped Samantha bring positivity into not only her but others' lives with her positive bright prints! She really enjoyed finding herself as an artist and producing art that could help other people who were also finding life difficult.
Samantha is currently working on her Christmas range and is attempting to create a calendar for 2024. She is also exploring her cultural identity as Māori (Kāi Tahu) and hopes to express this more through art.
When Samantha isn't creating she is busy studying social work or she will be found having fun at Ōtautahi Creative Spaces alongside other artists at Phillipstown hub. Samantha enjoys a good cup of tea and spending time with her whānau.
