Rukmini Keane – The Crafted Owl

I hand-build a range of ceramic pieces designed to bring a bit of colour and joy to your home. In the shop you will find my bud vases, soap dishes, spice and ring dishes, and occasionally garlic graters and paint palettes as well. Around Christmas time you will find ceramic tree ornaments as well. I also make needle-felted owls (hence the name) and felted soaps. These soaps are made by wrapping Ashford wool roving around beautiful handmade soaps by Panna Soaps and then wet felting them. They make useful and beautiful gifts and are always popular.  Also popular are the linseed and lavender eye-pillows which are made from kimono silk remnants and lavender from Rukmini’s garden. These are lovely and relaxing over tired eyes.

The Crafted Owl is my way of sharing what I create with others and I get a huge buzz when I see others enjoying and using the things I make.
