Ginny Larsen - Kata

Kata means laugh in Maori. I believe that the things we wear and use should bring us joy. I learned to sew from my mum when I was very young and have always loved the creative process.

I make hand-warmers, gift/treasure bags, back-packs and messenger bags. Every item is designed and crafted with care and love. Each item is unique. I love to mix colours and textures - the soft feel of the inner lined bags compared to the tougher exterior; the lightness of merino; the surprise hidden pockets in the treasure sacks.
