Fiona Dixon - Ruby + Bear

Named after our dog and one of our pet lambs, Ruby and Bear was launched in August 2017, and the online shop went live in February 2018.

I saw the joy my daughter and her younger cousin received from some kid's jewellery they'd been given, and how much fun the kids I know were having with fashion and accessories. I started with making bracelets, then necklaces, hair accessories and clothing for the kids in my life and my passion grew.

I work Ruby and Bear around our family; at night when (if) my daughter sleeps, and the afternoons she is in preschool.
I cherish having time with my daughter and love having a creative outlet while being able to use some of the skills I acquired before becoming a Mum. I love the variety being a WAHM with a small business provides me.

I'm also proud to stock a small selection of products made by other kiwi businesses and work at home parents. 
Through Ruby and Bear, I hope to encourage kids to have fun with fashion, to celebrate and develop their own unique sense of style.
